There’s a lot to love about Sacramento—the city boasts a growing cocktail week celebration, and buzzing beer, coffee and wine scenes. In fact, in our January/February 2013 issue, we name Sacramento one of the top 10 places to visit this year. (Check out our first-annual “Imbibe 75” feature for more of our picks.) But if you only need one reason to love Sacramento, let it be this warming Cabernet-spiked cocktail from one of the city’s favorite drinking spots, The Red Rabbit.
1 oz. brandy 1 oz. allspice dram ¾ oz. fresh lime juice ¾ oz. Cabernet sauvignon ½ oz. simple syrup (1:1) Tools: shaker, strainer Glass: coupe Garnish: lime twist
Combine ingredients and shake with ice until chilled. Strain into a coupe, then garnish.
