“Tilly Jane was the wife of [powerful 19th-century Portlander] William Ladd and has a hiking trail and campground named after her up on Mt. Hood,” says Kevin Ludwig of this cocktail, which appeared on his bar’s opening menu. 1 3/4 oz. pear brandy (Ludwig uses Clear Creek)
3/4 oz. Dolin Blanc vermouth
1/2 oz. Cynar
1 tsp. ginger syrup
2 dashes Regan's orange bitters Cracked ice Tools: mixing glass, barspoon, strainer Glass: cocktail
Stir all ingredients and strain into a chilled glass.
