Jason Littrell came up with the name for this cocktail while looking at his gas bill. He uses Yamazaki 12 and Lagavulin 16 single malts to create the delicate flavor balance required to make this unlikely combination of ingredients work.
1 oz. Grand Marnier
3/4 oz. sweeter single-malt whisky
3/4 oz. Islay-style single-malt whisky
2 dashes Ramazotti amaro
3 dashes Angostura bitters
1 dash Fee Bros. grapefruit bitters
Cracked ice Tools: mixing glass, barspoon, strainer Glass: coupe or cocktail Garnish: lemon twist
Stir all ingredients, strain into chilled glass and garnish.
