The Blues Cocktail

This bold, berry cocktail will have you singing anything but the blues. A simple combo of gin, lime juice and fresh blueberries, it’s pure, summertime deliciousness.

2 oz. gin
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
3/4 oz. blueberry syrup (see below)
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: coupe
Garnish: fresh blueberry

Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish.

Blueberry syrup: In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1 cup of water and 1 cup of fresh blueberries, lightly crushed. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature. Strain into a  glass bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
