Pepper Smash #2

A smash typically foregoes a formal recipe, and this version combining aquavit, mint and a splash of earthy bell pepper sweetness is equally adaptable to your own tastes.


12 mint leaves

2 oz. aquavit

3/4 oz. fresh lime juice

3/4 oz. fresh yellow bell pepper juice

3/4 oz. diluted Grade B maple syrup (2 parts syrup to 1 part water)

Ice cubes

Tools: muddler, shaker, strainer

Glass: Old Fashioned

Garnish: fresh mint sprig

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and gently muddle. Add ice, shake, double strain and garnish.
