Triple Orange Caipirinha

Peak kumquat season runs from November to March, and this cocktail puts this winter citrus to great use by combining it with cachaca and Gran Gala orange liqueur for a deliciously bright take on a Caipirinha.

 

2 oz. cachaca
1 oz. Gran Gala liqueur

3 kumquats (halved)

1 wedge of lime

Ice cubes
Tools: muddler, Boston shaker

Glass: rocks

Garnish: basil leaf

 

Muddle kumquats and lime in a mixing glass. Add shaker top to glass, shake with ice and pour contents into rocks glass. Garnish.
