Say it with us—“cal-ee-mo-cho”—it’s as odd a sounding combination as any, but this Basque-born sipper quenches with its equal-parts mix of red wine and cola. For a full-on Spanish feel, pop the cork on an inexpensive bottle of Tempranillo, the unofficial red wine grape of Spain.

 

3 oz. red wine
3 oz. cola
Tools: barspoon
Glass: rocks
Garnish: lemon twist (optional)

 

Combine red wine and cola in an ice-filled glass and stir. If you’re feeling fancy, garnish with a twist of lemon.
