This recipe from Chicago bartender Debbi Peek won the 2011 Disaronno Mixing Star Competition. It's a flavor-packed cocktail with loads of depth and a great balance of sweetness, acidity and herbal notes.
1 oz. Disaronno Originale 1/4 oz. gin 1 oz. fresh lemon juice 1/2 oz. blood orange puree 1 barspoon orange marmalade 8-10 fresh rosemary needles 1/4 oz. Martini & Rossi sparkling rosé Ice cubes Tools: muddler, shaker, strainer, fine-mesh strainer Glass: cocktail or coupe Garnish: blood orange wheel and rosemary sprig
In a mixing glass muddle the rosemary, lemon juice, blood orange puree and orange marmalade. Add Disaronno, gin and ice and shake until well chilled. Double strain into a cocktail glass. Top with chilled sparkling rosé and garnish.
