Intolerable Bastard

Don’t be fooled by its name—this tiki-fied mix of Chartreuse, brandy and ginger beer is anything but intolerable.

 

1 oz. green Chartreuse

1 oz. brandy

1/2 oz. simple syrup (1:1)

1/4 oz. fresh lemon juice

2 dashes Angostura bitters

Ginger beer

Tools: shaker, strainer

Glass: double Old Fashioned

Garnish: 4 dashes Angostura bitters, fresh mint sprig and orange wheel

 

Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a crushed ice-filled glass, top with ginger beer and garnish.
