Gnashing Mule

A favorite spirit of the Mediterranean (and a featured Flavor in our 2014 Imbibe 75), mastika adds subtle pine and anise notes to this Chartreuse-infused twist on the gingery Mule.


1 1/2 oz. mastika

3/4 oz. green Chartreuse

1/2 fresh lime juice

3-4 oz. ginger beer

Tools: shaker, strainer

Glass: highball

Garnish: lime wheel


Combine all ingredients, except ginger beer, and shake with ice. Strain into an ice-filled glass, top with ginger beer and garnish.
