Balsamic Vinegar Syrup

Forget the salad bowl—balsamic vinegar adds a tangy depth to cocktails like the Bufala Negra when simmered down into syrup form.

¼ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup simple syrup (1:1)

Combine vinegar and simple syrup in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring just to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Strain into a clean jar, cover and keep refrigerated for up to 1 month.
